Orienteering B-Meet
Come enjoy two days of orienteering. The terrain and map are among the absolute best in southern California,
the flowers are blooming, and if the weather this past weekend is any indication, it should be gorgeous out.
We will be having white-red classic courses on both days (see course details below).
We have a special treat for moms. All moms can participate for FREE on Sunday!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We have included both Saturday, May 12 & Sunday, May 13 into the Junior Orienteering Series. Compete at one or both.
For those who registered for the entire series, you are already registered for both days. You do not need to register or pay extra.

Pre-Register
Pre-register online by Thursday, May 10 at 12 noon, or register day of event.
Note: If you are registering day of event, please be aware of delays.
Forest Adventure Pass (or Golden Eagle card) is REQUIRED.
You can obtain one either at the Laguna Store or at the ranger station at Alpine.
The turn-off for Los Huecos Road is just immediately north of the store.

Restrooms are located at the information center which is right across from Los Huecos.
There are outhouse restrooms available on the course including one from start at Day 1 in Los Huecos.
Directions
DAY 1 - Saturday, May 12 at west-end of Los Huecos Rd: From I-8 (Downtown San Diego)
Go east on I-8 from San Diego about 40 miles. One mile past Pine Valley, exit at Sunrise Highway (S-1). Head north on S-1 to the Laguna
Mountain Recreation Area for about 10 miles. The turn-off for Los Huecos Road is between the Mt. Laguna General Store and the USFS Information Center. Turn west about 2 miles to the end of the road.
From 79 (Julian area)
Head south on 79. Left on Sunrise Highway (S-1) and head south toward the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. The turn-off for Los Huecos Road is between the Mt. Laguna General Store and the USFS Information Center. Turn west about 2 miles to the end of the road.
DAY 2 - Sunday, May 13 at Wooden Hill Group Campground: From I-8 (Downtown San Diego)
Go east on I-8 from San Diego about 40 miles. One mile past the Pine Valley, exit at Sunrise Highway (S-1). Head north on Sunrise Highway to the Laguna
Mountain Recreation Area for 8.3 miles. Turn west at Wooden Hill Rd/Morris Ranch Rd. Follow the signs back to the parking area.
From 79 (Julian area)
Head south on 79. Left on Sunrise Highway (S-1) and head south toward the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. Turn west at Wooden Hill Rd/Morris Ranch Rd. Follow the signs back to the parking area.
From LA
From I-5 south, you can take I-805 South to I-8 East and follow directions above. Or take the 78 East to the 79 and follow directions above.
From I-15 south, you can take I-8 East and follow directions above. Or take the 78 East to the 79 and follow directions above.
Camping
If you are camping at Laguna meadow, campsites 101-104 (available on a first come basis) are 125m north of Day 1's start.
Internet reservable sites in the Shady Loop and Meadow Loop are less than 1/2 mile away.
